As India’s largest privately-owned airline commenced daily flights from Bangalore to London today, Dr Vijay Mallya, owner of Kingfisher airlines commented: “Our customers are guests, not passengers, and we will set new standards in international travel with the warmest Indian hospitality.”
Why is Kingfisher’s first international route flying from India’s ‘Silicon Valley’ Bangalore and not from Mumbai, ‘India’s maximum city’? Mallya explains: “I believe the Bangalore-London route is under-served and the daily non-stop service will exploit the latent potential that exists.”
Guests can expect the high-end pampering at 30,000 ft which has become synonymous with the five star-rated airline. As well as in-seat massages, a defined bar area, a jacket pressing service and a spectacle cleaning service, there will be a high quota of Bollywood glamour on board. This is because the flamboyant billionaire Mallya is, inter alia, the chairman of a leading Bollywood film magazine and is buddies with many Bollywood babes, including Amisha Patel and Shilpa Shetty.

Wish they start a service from Amritsar to London as well. I wanted to go to Amritsar , but the Jet Airways ticket to Amritsar from London was coming so expensive that I had to buy a ticket to Delhi. While Jet airways can mint money by starting flights between Amritsar and London , so can they.
