These table shows A Level and GCSE results for state and independent schools that have submitted their results to The Times.
For A levels, schools are ranked according to the percentage of A and B grades achieved. The percentage of A grades is used as a tie breaker. Where schools have taken the International Baccalaureate instead of or in addition to A levels, the IB scores have been converted to an A level equivalent.
For GCSEs, schools are ranked according to the percentage of A* and A grades achieved. The percentage of A* grades is used as a tie breaker.
Many independent schools prefer to submit their results via the Independent Schools Council. These schools' A level results will be added to our tables on Saturday 23 August. Their GCSE results will be added on Saturday 30 August.
A number of independent schools, including some of the top schools in the country, have decided to boycott the August school league tables this year because they do not feel they present a full and meaningful illustration of school achievement.
The tables cover schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and schools in Scotland that sit A levels.
