US takes North Korea off terror list: The United States announced that it has agreed to remove North Korea from its terrorism blacklist after Pyongyang conceded to its nuclear verification demands. North Korea said it would allow experts to take samples and conduct forensic tests at all its nuclear plants.

Quake kills six: A powerful earthquake centred near Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, killed at least six people yesterday. The tremor registered 5.5 on the Richter scale and shook the city for more than 30 seconds.

Cargo ship seized: Pirates hijacked a Greek tanker off the coast of Somalia, the 69th attack this year. Another gang holding the cargo ship Faina, with 33 Russian tanks in its hold, has threatened to blow it up if a ransom is not paid.

Kurds bombed: Turkish warplanes have bombed dozens of Kurdish rebel targets in northern Iraq, the Turkish military said yesterday. It was the sixth cross-border Turkish bombing since 17 soldiers were killed on the Iraqi border last week.

Why don't the International authorities knock out the pirates on those ships with Nitrous Oxide? It is safe as long as they are rescued within about 30 minutes. The safety of crews and even the reduction of violent behavior is the least result. The most is the safe rescue of everyone .
